5K Love Your Heart Walk

Dr. Hall is a proud graduate of Spelman College. Since relocating to the Middle, TN area she has continued to be an active member of The National Alumnae Association Spelman College (NAASC) – Nashville Chapter.

Recently, members of the Nashville chapter participated in a 5K walk to sponsor Loving Your Heart.

Walking can have extraordinary benefits to our health. Even if you can only manage 30 minutes a day, walking can help in so many areas of your life including:

  • Reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes, stroke and other chronic diseases
  • Provides you a stronger heart
  • More positive mental outlook
  • Lower health care costs
  • Overall improved quality of life

Did you know a 1999 Harvard study showed that walking at a moderate pace for 30 minutes a day  can cut the risk of heart disease in women as much as 40 percent?  With the benefits to men comparable.

It just makes sense to find some time and start walking today!
